A speleological writing and exploration game.

The project explores the meeting point between human gestures and digital systems through the notion of “digital” — from digitus (finger) and digit (code).

It connects prehistoric hand traces to binary signs, and the cave — a recurring motif since early games like Colossal Cave Adventure — becomes a metaphor for depth, memory, and code.

The game consists of nine interconnected maps, each with its own color code and soundtrack by Alex Yatsun (DJ Sacred). Four directional keys to explore, one finger to draw, two to erase. Each trace you leave remains forever, for future players to find and expand.

This prototype was made possible thanks to the support of the Centre National des Arts Plastiques (CNAP) and the collaboration of Raphaël Kuntz for the game réalisation, Alex Yatsun for the music, La Cumbre Workshop for the engineering, and Franck Josselin Studio for the photography.
