DRONE CODEX
YEAR: 2017
TYPE: Wall painting
DIMENSIONS: 1000 x 250 cm
MEDIUM: Paint
COMMISSIONERS: ADAGP / Palais de Tokyo
LOCATION: Palais de Tokyo / Paris [FR]
The corridor was transformed into a “primitive drone cave,” combining abstract, primitive drone drawings with the raw concrete architecture. Pictograms from a Drone Codex lined the space, culminating in blue light and a drone-like tape recording. Wooden drone amulets on sand under spotlights completed the installation.
Two books accompanied the project: Drone Codex, a record of the pictogram vocabulary, and Dronologie, featuring project photos with commentary by Egyptologist Dr. Jacques Guiter.
