At a time when we seem to be witnessing the emergence of techno-feudalism, the works in the exhibition Death-Metaoperate as visual palimpsests. Against acid-bright backgrounds covered with blocks of colour and black washes, systems of signs that seem to have little in common are layered together: metal band logos, office graphics, dungeon-crawler imagery, and video game screenshots.

The exhibition builds on a hypothesis formulated by Sébastien Tricot: what if the RPG (role-playing game) were an eroticisation of the world of office work? Character sheets, inventories, and skill trees would then extend, through fantastical imagery, the logics of data management and optimisation.
