The composition echoes the structure of an altarpiece while translating the pixel-based cartography of the game into painted form. Its visual language draws deliberate parallels with Ignazio Danti’s Galleria delle carte geografiche in the Vatican, where a 16th-century worldview was meticulously rendered to assert papal power.
